Custom Workers
The eight standard roles cover the most common security operations tasks, but every organisation has unique requirements. Secure60 can scope and build custom digital workers tailored to your specific operational needs.
When to Consider a Custom Worker
Custom workers make sense when:
- You have a repeatable operational process that follows a consistent pattern.
- The process uses data already in Secure60 (events, signals, threats, entities, vulnerability findings, compliance evidence).
- The task currently requires analyst time but follows a largely predictable workflow.
- You need a worker that combines capabilities from multiple standard roles.
- Your industry or regulatory environment has specific requirements not covered by the standard templates.
The Process
1. Scoping Call
Start with a conversation with Secure60 about what you need. Bring:
- A description of the task or workflow you want to automate.
- Examples of how an analyst currently handles it (screenshots, runbooks, or just a verbal walkthrough).
- Any specific data sources, rules, or platform features the worker would need to use.
- Decision criteria — what constitutes a good outcome vs. a bad one.
- Volume and frequency — how often the worker would run and on how many items.
2. Specification
Secure60 produces a specification that covers:
- What the worker does, step by step.
- What data it reads and what actions it can take.
- What guardrails are in place (what it cannot do without human approval).
- What outputs it produces.
- How it integrates with your existing workflows.
3. Build and Test
Secure60 builds the agent template, deploys it in a test configuration, and works with your team to validate the outputs. This typically involves:
- Running against real data from your environment.
- Reviewing session outputs together.
- Adding initial knowledge and learnings to tune behaviour.
- Adjusting the configuration based on feedback.
4. Deploy
Once validated, the worker is deployed into your production environment. You control:
- Which projects it operates in.
- What knowledge it has access to.
- Whether it tracks the latest template version or pins to a specific one.
Ongoing Tuning
Custom workers improve over time. As you review sessions and add learnings, the agent adapts to your preferences and conventions. Secure60 also provides periodic reviews to assess performance and recommend adjustments.
